How are the WIPs going?
I got pneumonia and have not been writing much. I have, however, been reading a little. I finished a book titled Lilith. It's by George MacDonald, and it was well worth the trouble. MacDonald is, you see, possessed of a greater talent for creating literary images than for prose. He is, contrarily, a good and bad writer simultaneously. C. S. Lewis, one of his biggest proponents, likened him to Kafka in that, reading an outline of the story gives you all that the story can give you. Anyway, Lilith is one of those prescient books, or perhaps, it only appears so as there is nothing new under the sun; I could not help but see the modern world torn apart by dreadfully sharp truth spoken in a horribly blunt way. I highly recommend the book, but only if you have the patience for it.
In other news, one of my short stories has been published in a collection. You can get a copy now, and this Wednesday there will be a livestream with the authors and editor. Come check us out.
